As with all previous weeks, apathy seems to be the winner with big decreases in voter turnout. Most of these by elections have been held in Labour defending wards so in the most part has been Labour getting stronger in strongholds. This has meant that the UKIP surge has been put on hold, whilst getting double digit % increases in Conservative areas they have only managed to double their previous shares of the vote and is a more modest 5.1% rise. The SNP has also doubled it's vote share but if anything there has not been a big wild swing. If anything the ten holds we got on the last set of by elections just seem to show everything is staying relatively the same. A Labour slight strengthening a Conservative weakening.
