During this time Conservatives defended 20 seats, gaining 2 from Labour and 1 from Staffordshire Independent
- but losing 8 , 4 to the Lib Dems, 2 to Independents and 1 each to Labour & UKIP
Labour defended 12 seats in England, gaining 1 from Conservatives and 1 from Lib Dems whilst losing 2 to Conservatives
Lib Dems defended 2 seats, gaining 4 from Conservatives whilst losing 1 to Labour
Didn't bother with 10, less than 5% voteshare in 11. Liberal Democrats should be classed as a minor party now.
