JULYS 2013 POLITICAL POP CHART

With only just over a day left in June I am compiling the chart which shows just how busy the political party websites have been in comparison with each other.

Unfortunately the BNP have made it back to the top spot of political websites in the UK. Now I know in recent times they have been out polling the Liberal Democrats but with only just 1 MEP which they are likely to lose next year and no councillors as far as I know. It is a bemusement why their website is so busy. Maybe it is people watching in much like you do when passing a car crash as much as those who share their point of view.

UKIP have dropped to third and seem to have slowed a little since the council elections in May. Labour did actually slip in the GB rankings but not as much as UKIP so this is why they stayed 2nd.

Nearly all the other parties websites have become quieter as we start to enter the summer period. Sinn Fein buck the trend by getting busier. The Justice 4 Men & Boys party has also climbed up, It seems all those radio appearances have helped the site. Still no news on when they will stand a candidate anywhere.

As for my own blog, it has hit the top ten as I said it would help to let you know just how many visitors you need to get the position in the ranking. At present I get 100 unique viewers a day with 300-500 on Fridays result day. So that has propelled me to where I am now.

GENERAL ELECTION RESULT JUNE 2013

SOURCE

Ok it is only an internet polling system, but I think it has potential to be just as resourceful as any other polling mechanism which is out there at the moment. If you click here MAYS GENERAL ELECTION RESULTS that was the first poll.

A General Election was held yesterday on the site and here are the results.

TORIES TAKE TWO! David Cameron and the Tories have successfully lead the party to a second successive victory in the voteyourgoat Monthly General Election! Despite Osborne's spending cuts and the continued pressure from Syria, the Conservatives have increased their share of the vote, up 7%, at the end of a challenging month for political decisions. Ed Milliband will this morning, be disappointed that Labour have failed to capitalise on the Tories pressure and more so, having lost significant votes to the Green Party who secured 13.79% to Labours 10.34%. The EU remains a significant headline in our current affairs, demonstrated by UKIP's outstanding performance, securing second spot overall and having doubled their previous performance up 7%. Does this represent the decision by the undecideds from the last election which dropped to 7th? An improved turnout in Scotland saw the continued support for the SNP, however shockingly they were challenged by UKIP. Has the smoke from Nigel Farage's previous outing in Edinburgh blown over? While George Galloway earned support in many headlines following his recent appearance on the BBC's Question Time, his Respect party has lost control of Wales in favour of Plaid Cymru. The Alliance, Green, Democratic Unionists and the Independents all received equal share of the vote in Northern Ireland, following a low turnout. The hard work now starts again for these parties, as we're here on the last Thursday of next month to do it all over again!

An MSP has pled not guilty to 24 charges of assaulting women over a period of three decades.
Bill Walker, 71, appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court accused of physically assaulting four women between January 1967 and January 1995.
The former SNP politician's trial was set for 8 July.
Prosecutors allege that Mr Walker abused the women at addresses in Edinburgh, Stirling, Midlothian and Alloa.
Mr Walker has claimed self defence for three of the charges.
He is alleged to have assaulted Maureen Traquair, Anne Walker, Anne Louise Paterson and Diana Walker.
The independent MSP, who sits for Dunfermline in the Scottish Parliament, denied all charges.
Mr Walker, from Alloa, was elected as an SNP MSP in 2011. He was expelled from the party in April, but has appealed against that decision
