7 by-elections in one day

As you can see below there will be seven council by elections today this is a real chance to see if polling will turn into voting. The party with the biggest eyes on the prize will be UKIP they have 4 candidates today and they should have at least one more councillor by the end of this set of elections. If not they will be disappointed I would think. 

Labour, Conservatives & Libdems contest them all and so it will be interesting to see the percentage share of the vote in strong Labour areas as to an indication towards the Southshileds byelection. In Knowsley- Prescott and Nottingham it will be interesting to see how UKIP do against Labour in strong Labour wards for the first time and how the Labour vote does against several parties and will the TUSC take any of the Labour vote.
