GENERAL ELECTION RESULT JUNE 2013

SOURCE

Ok it is only an internet polling system, but I think it has potential to be just as resourceful as any other polling mechanism which is out there at the moment. If you click here MAYS GENERAL ELECTION RESULTS that was the first poll.

A General Election was held yesterday on the site and here are the results.

TORIES TAKE TWO! David Cameron and the Tories have successfully lead the party to a second successive victory in the voteyourgoat Monthly General Election! Despite Osborne's spending cuts and the continued pressure from Syria, the Conservatives have increased their share of the vote, up 7%, at the end of a challenging month for political decisions. Ed Milliband will this morning, be disappointed that Labour have failed to capitalise on the Tories pressure and more so, having lost significant votes to the Green Party who secured 13.79% to Labours 10.34%. The EU remains a significant headline in our current affairs, demonstrated by UKIP's outstanding performance, securing second spot overall and having doubled their previous performance up 7%. Does this represent the decision by the undecideds from the last election which dropped to 7th? An improved turnout in Scotland saw the continued support for the SNP, however shockingly they were challenged by UKIP. Has the smoke from Nigel Farage's previous outing in Edinburgh blown over? While George Galloway earned support in many headlines following his recent appearance on the BBC's Question Time, his Respect party has lost control of Wales in favour of Plaid Cymru. The Alliance, Green, Democratic Unionists and the Independents all received equal share of the vote in Northern Ireland, following a low turnout. The hard work now starts again for these parties, as we're here on the last Thursday of next month to do it all over again!
