UKIP TO WIN ROCHESTER EN ROUTE TO 50+ SEATS AT GENERAL ELECTION?
UKIP are red hot favourites at 1/20 with William Hill to double their
total of MPs by winning the Rochester by election. Hills make the Tories
8/1 with Labour 50/1.
UKIP HAVE been backed to win 50 or more seats at the forthcoming
General Election, forcing William Hill to halve their odds to do so from
16/1 to 8/1. They are 20/1 to win 100 or more; 8/15 to get 5 or more;
3/1 1 or 2; 8/1 3 or 4; 8/1 none at all.
**THE ODDS about Ed Miliband standing down as Labour leader BEFORE the
General Election have been shortened by William Hill from 6/1 to 9/2.
Meanwhile, Labour are 2/11 outsiders to beat the 4/11 favourites, SNP in
the next Scottish Election.
One William Hill client has staked £50 at odds of 150/1 that not only
Ed Miliband, but also David Cameron and Nick Clegg will cease to lead
their Parties by the day of the General Election.
**WILLIAM HILL have cut the odds for No Overall Majority at the General
Election to their shortest price ever of 4/7, as the outcome of next
year's poll appears ever less predictable.A William Hill customer from
Devon has already placed over 20 bets totalling £23,400 that the outcome
of the next General Election will be 'No overall majority'. He stands
to collect £51,000 from his wagers if his hunch proves correct.
'We have never quoted a shorter price than 4/7 in any General Election
for there to be no overall majority' said Hill's spokesman Graham
Sharpe, 'But political punters are betting on it as though it is a
certainty.'
