Do you get the politicians your nation want?

So who benefits from the Union? Whom does the Union effect the most?

As you can see even in Tory Landslide years of 83 & 87 Scotland & Wales much preferred to have Labour in control than the Conservatives. Yet in 2010 and 1992 England would have preferred a Conservative government to the coalition which we have today or all the problems Major had from 92 to 97 How different things would have been for him with a 114 majority than a ever dwindling 21.

In some respects it shows the problems of being a small cog in a much bigger machine. For all those who are in favour of Europe I think this just shows that there can be times when you don't get what your nation wants. Scotland and Wales could say they suffered for years with a Conservative led UK Parliament which they didn't want or vote for.

I just thought I would put this out there.
