WITH BORIS JOHNSON refusing to rule out standing as next Tory leader when David Cameron stands down, bookmakers William Hill currently quote him as 9/4 favourite to take over - which is great news for a William Hill customer from Steyning in West Sussex who placed a bet of £50 at odds of 100/1 on Boris to become Prime Minister back in October 2006 and stands to collect £5050 should it happen.
Theresa May is 11/2 second favourite to succeed Cameron with Hills who also offer 8/1 Pihilip Hammond and George Osborne, with Sajid David at 12/1 and Michael Gove at 16/1.
'Boris has been a popular choice eventually to become Prime Minister for many years but our West Sussex client will be the biggest winner if and when he does' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
Well, obviously things have changed a lot since 2006. But if Cameron stays as PM expect things to change considerably (again) in the next 5 years. There is nothing as certain as the unexpected!
