LATEST POLLING
Our latest voting intention figures published in the Sunday Times are CON 34%, LAB 33%, LDEM 10%, UKIP 13%, GRN 4%. The Lib Dems are on 10% - their highest score since August.
  • 47% of people think David Cameron is doing well as Prime Minister, 46% badly (a net rating of 1, up from minus 2 last week and Cameron’s first positive score since 2011).
  • 33% of people think Ed Miliband is doing well as Labour leader, 59% badly (a net rating of minus 26, up from minus 29 last week).
  • 29% of people think Nick Clegg is doing well as Lib Dem leader, 62% badly (a net rating of minus 33, up from minus 40 last week).
Election Debate
  • Nicola Sturgeon was seen to perform the best in last Thursday’s ITV debate.
  • 28% chose the Scottish First Minister, 20% Nigel Farage, 18% Cameron and 15% Miliband.
  • Looking specifically at the each round of the debate, Cameron was seen to perform best on the economy (33%), Miliband on health and education (25% and 22% respectively) and Farage on immigration (41%).
Current Issues

GP Services
  • In January we found that 34% of the public felt the service provided by their local GP surgery had got worse over the last five years.
  • Only 15% felt it had got better and 40% said it had stayed about the same.
  • Half of respondents (49%) said they are usually able to get an appointment when they need one though 36% said they often can’t.
