Bookmakers Believe Tony's Speech May Have Cursed Ed Miliband's Bid for No.10

 Politics By  Graham Sharpe

William Hill has eased out Ed Milliband's odds of becoming Prime Minister, from 11/8 to 6/4 after he received the backing of former PM Tony Blair this morning.
Blair, speaking at a pro-Europe get together, also outlined his views about the EU. The ex-Labour front man told his audience and the media that there shouldn't be an in-out referendum on Europe and put his case forward for staying in the EU.
William Hill believe there won't be an in-out referendum on Europe before 2019. They are offering odds of 6/4 for it to go ahead, and 1/2 not to.
The bookies also offer odds of 1/2 that a vote on Europe would see the electorate voting to stay in the Union.
'We believe Tony Blair's public support for Ed Miliband is more likely to hinder than help Labour's chances of winning the General Election in May.' said William Hill spokesman Graham Sharpe.

William Hill Odds:

Will There Be An In/Out Referendum On UK EU Membership By 2019? 1/2 No,  6/4 Yes. (referendum must be an in/out referendum on UK EU membership and must take place by end of 2018)
What Will Be The Outcome Of The Potential UK EU Membership Referendum Be? 1/2 UK To Vote To Remain In The EU.   6/4 UK To Vote To Leave The EU (referendum must take place by beginning of 2019 for bets to stand)
UK PRIME MINISTER on 1st AUGUST 2015: 4/7 Cameron, 6/4 Miliband, 14/1 Any other.
