When Will Cameron Stand Down?

Written by Graham Sharpe

WILLIAM HILL have opened a book on which year will see David Cameron stand down as Conservative leader, and make THIS year, 2015, their 6/4 second favourite.

Hills also offer 7/1 that he will depart the job in 2016; 16/1 2017; 16/1 2018; 7/1 2019; Evens (favourite) 2020; 16/1 2021 or later.

'One suspects that if the Tories don;t hold some form of power after the General Election the decision as to when to stand down will be taken out of his hands' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Mr Cameron's broad hint that he won't seek a third term of office (albeit a second one is hardly a certainty!) has seen the runners and riders come under orders for the succession stakes and the early front-runner is Boris Johnson, 9/4 favourite with William Hill, who make Theresa May 9/2 second favourite with George Osborne 10/1 third favourite.

'One bold client staked £200,000 on David Cameron becoming Tory leader when the job last became available, so there will be no shortage of speculative money about to try to predict his successor' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
