Now I have noticed that the small parties that could take votes from sitting MPs of Tory and Lib Dems in England's marginals are not listed in the top political pop charts, not being particularly voter user friendly, as people seek what a party offers them as individuals and as families.
ReplyDeleteSo I have tried to counter that in my small way.
The Left Unity Party is not really running in this general election, because they say they will not run against other left wing parties nor Tory or Labour. So I am as perplexed as you by this.
Despite SNP's popularity they get less website hits than Scottish Greens who will get nowhere.
As Gandhi observed, People's Politics Are Their Daily Bread.
Too many political websites seem just to be facilities for party members and not a website geared for currying favour with voters and explaining what the party offers them.
Much better is Class War's website, who simply say it straight - Double Dole and Pension. They are great fun for the young voter, but also offer the poorest grey vote something.
There does not seem, in the main, to be party websites entirely focused on the voter experience.
The USI of a party if you will (Unique selling ideas).
My little website of an individual voter, not connected or funded by anybody, tries to do my little bit to inform the poorest voters in marginals that a small party is worth voting into Westminster.
As one saying says, “If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito.”
